Council Members

The Amberley Village Council consists of seven members who are elected for a two-year term. Five are elected from geographic districts, and two are at-large. The Mayor is elected by the Council members.

Following are the Council members serving for the elected term ending November 30, 2019. Click for information about the Council’s committee structure. Council also appoints a Treasurer and a Solicitor.

Council Biographical Information

Mayor Tom Muething

Tom is serving his fourth term on council and third term as Mayor.

Tom received his BSBA in accounting from Xavier University. After 30 years working for a multinational company serving in various financial related jobs, he is now retired and enjoys golf, hiking and working in his yard.

Tom has been married to Cindy for 35 years and have five children.

 

Vice Mayor Natalie Wolf

Natalie is serving her fourth term on council and as Vice Mayor.

She received her BA degree from Indiana University in 1985 and was awarded her JD in 1988 from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.  Natalie practiced law in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation with the Rothchild Law Office.

Natalie has served on the Board of Trustees of the Yavneh Day School, including past president of the Yavneh Parent Teachers’ Organization as well as numerous committees of the Mayerson JCC.  An avid runner, she has chaired and participated on the planning committees for 5k and 10k road races for both Hadassah and the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education, as well as coached the JCC chapter of Girls on Track for four years.  In 2008, she was a chaperone for the Cincinnati delegation for the March of the Living, and has participated in Election Protection for the 2004, 2008, and 2012 presidential elections.

Natalie is married to Scott and they have three children Freddie, Adam and Sarah and two dogs Kimo and Olympia.

Richard Bardach

Richard is serving his fourth term on council.

He received his BA degree in journalism from the Ohio State University, and graduated from the Ohio Northern University College of Law in 1995.  Currently, he operates his own law firm practice, The Law Offices of Richard Bardach, concentrating his practice in real estate, foreclosure, creditors’ rights and litigation.

Richard is married and enjoys taking long hikes with the family.

Peg Conway

Peg Conway was re-elected to Council in 2013 and previously served from 2006-11.  She co-founded the Amberley Women’s Forum and initiated Amberley’s participation in the Nextdoor social networking website.  She also volunteers at the Bond Hill Pantry and is a board member of Clinton Hills Swim Club and the Jesuit Spiritual Center.

A Cincinnati native, she earned a BA from Xavier University in 1985 and an MS from Northwestern University in 1987.  She worked in human resource communications, taught childbirth classes, and published a book on spirituality and birth.  Peg moved to Amberley with her husband and three children in 2003, drawn by the beauty of green space and mature trees.

Edward Hattenbach

Elected in 2009, Mr. Hattenbach is serving his fifth term on Council and continues to participate as a member of the Environmental Stewardship Committee.  A native Cincinnatian, Mr. Hattenbach moved to Amberley Village with his wife, Shelley, in 1994.  They have two children and three grandsons.

A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Hattenbach has been in practice for over 26 years in Anderson Township, where he has been an officer and board member of the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce and belongs to other business and civic organizations.  He is a past president of B’nai Brith and Adath Israel Men’s Club.

Ed graduated from Woodward High School and received a BBA from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Xavier University.  Ed is a Vietnam veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star.

Elida Kamine

Elida is serving her second term on council.  She began serving in late December 2015 to fill the At-Large seat vacated by Bill Doering.

In addition to being an attorney for over 10 years, since 2013 Elida has been serving as the full-time Chief of Staff  for Cincinnati City Councilmember P.G. Sittenfeld.

Elida graduated from the New York University School of Law in 2006, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in 2003 from Brandeis University.  Elida serves on several boards and committees including the board of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.  She is married to Max Yamson.

Ray Warren

Ray is serving his fourth term on council.

He received his Ph.D. in Biology from Roswell Park Memorial Institute/SUNY Buffalo, and BS in Biochemistry from SUNY Stony Brook. After 33 years he retired from Procter & Gamble.  He is now a consultant with Ray Warren Consulting LLC.

Ray enjoys biking, jogging, reading and photography.  He was a founding board member of the Center for Holocaust and Humanities Education and is active in their Speakers Bureau giving lectures at community high schools and colleges.  He is a board member for the Jewish Cemeteries of Greater Cincinnati and volunteers at the Cedar Village Senior Center, and is a volunteer Tax Aid with AARP.

Ray moved with his wife Nancy to Amberley Village in 1991.  They raised their three children here and married off two of their children. The family resides on Farm Acres Drive.
