Drug Take Back Day 10/28
Medicines that languish in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse, and abuse. Rates of prescription drug abuse in the U.S. are alarmingly high, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs. On Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Amberley Village Police and Fire Department along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to give residents another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
Bring your pills for disposal to the Amberley Village Police-Fire Department, 7149 Ridge Road. Please adhere to the drop off times of 10 am-2 pm when staffing is available.
No early or late drop-offs are permitted.
No liquids, needles or sharps accepted.
